First, what do we mean by “holiday”?
|
The Christmas sampler that’s been in your cupboard for 14 years.
The Chanukah sampler you’ve been meaning to finish and now have just the motivation to do so.
The Christmas quilt you’ve been wanting to make for a long time and kept letting it fall to the bottom of the to-do list.
Any December-themed quilts (Christmas, Chanukah, wintry)…
Bed quilts, wall quilts, baby quilts — Cute quilts, holiday quilts, wintertime quilts! |
How do I display it? |
Hang it outside your door as if you are showing it to the neighborhood and displaying it for all the world and your neighborhood to see. If you live in an apartment or condo where that’s not possible, hang it in front of your front door.
You can hang it with a fancy set-up (quilt stand, dowel, etc.) or just a friend or spouse or tall teenager holding it up. Hands and feet at the top and bottom of your quilt are fine! |
Submit a photo of your porch quilt. |
We would love to have a photo of you with the quilt, but it’s not required.
Take several horizontal shots of your quilt — not in full, midday sun. And take them early — before Dec. 1. Send in 3 photos (we’ll let you know where later).
We’ll gather them all and put them into a slide show for our December Guild meeting. |
