2023 Guild Member Challenge

"Color Wheel Black Magic"
2023 Challenge Winners
Challenge Guidelines:
- Must have a black background.
- Emphasis on Analogous, monochromatic, and/or ombre colors.
- Three Size Choices - choose one of the following:
- A. Small quilt that is 18” across top x 22” sides: raw or finished edges.
- B. 12” x16” finished placemat for community quilts (washable).
- C. Larger quilt no more than 120inch perimeter. or less than 12x16.
- Other colors may be used for accents.
- Can be fused, appliquéd, painted, manipulated fabric, embellished, etc.
- Made only by participant.
- Three layers quilted; sleeve not required.
- Name, phone number, title on back right corner.
- Submit in labeled pillowcase with name and phone number.
Prizes:
- Every person who submits an entry will be in a drawing for a paid membership coupon.
- There will be two 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for a gift certificate to a quilt shop.
Voting:
- There will be two categories:
- Favorite quilt that portrays the guidelines
- Favorite placemat that portrays the guidelines
Challenge entry DUE at one of the following:
- May 11th – bring to the Guild Meeting at Live Oak UCC, Goleta
- May 12th – take to the Wake Center, Room 9 between 1 and 4pm (Ranell Hansen)
- May 11 or 12 – take to Carol Hart, Carpinteria
- May 11 or 12 – take to Suzy Pelovsky. Santa Barbara
