2019 Challenge: "Don't Touch"
Let's add a classy touch to our next quilt show. How?
Make a Public Awareness sign with a reminder: "Just Look, Don't Touch."
With one of the Guild’s stated aims as our guide, “to inform the community about the history and preservation of quilts”, select an era, trend, or technique from vintage to modern, simple to intricate, sweet to silly.
Make your own words, use provided laser cut words (limited number), or let your entry speak for itself (wordless). Laser letters and rules handout will be available at the Guild library.
CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS:
Remind the public not to touch.
Make no political statements.
Finished size must be 12" x 12".
Provide a back label with, at minimum, maker's name (other info as desired.)
No hanging sleeve needed.
Due March 2019.
All challenge entrants will be encouraged to donate their entries to the Guild for use in future quilts shows. |
